NOC

Finally finished with the procedure for getting NOC. It took me two whole weeks and 5oo bucks, most of which was a waste. RTO office had recently changed the rules, only the Deputy Commissioner of police can issue police clearance certificate, and I oblivious to this ran from one Police Station to another; got a certificate that turned out useless.

For the record, I will put down the procedure for getting NOC (relevant only to Hyderabad).

First you need to have these documents : RC book, Insurance and Pollution certificate. Get two photocopies of each. Go to the nearest e-seva center and pay Rs 100/- as the fees for obtaining police clearance certificate. Then take this e-seva receipt, one copy of RC book, one copy of insurance and one copy of Pollution certificate and submit it at the office of Deputy Commissioner of Police, detective branch. The office is at Police control room, Basheerbag, near LB stadium. Next day you will get a certificate. The clerk will ask for some 'speed money', pay him Rs 50/-.

Next from the RTO office get 3 copies of the form for obtaining NOC (form 24 ) and fill it up. You will have to get the pencil imprint of Chasis no. ( the no somewhere on you vehicle's handle) on each form. Paste a Court fee stamp worth Rs 3/-. Submit this form with the following documents : original RC book, original police certificate, copy of insurance and pollution certificate. They will charge Rs 50/- and will give you a receipt.

If everything goes well, the next day you should be having an NOC with you.
