Pleasures of life

Some days back I took some time out of studies and went to the roof top. My body was demanding some fresh air and my mind was demanding contact with the outside world. The dorm where I reside is just adjacent to the main road, and it is busy most of the time. The roof-top view is fabulous. Many vehicles coming one after the other, following the curved bend ahead, the high rise buildings, with the people silhouetted against there room lights. I spent five minutes out there trying to figure out whether the silhouette was of a man or a woman, a boy or a girl.

This is what first two weeks at b-school can do to you. You start recognizing the small pleasures in life. You get to know that just standing on the roof-top, playing a game that other would call stupid can be so much more fun! Well at least the roof-top visit reminds you that there is the whole world out there and it will always be there even if you fail out here; that you are not just part of a zombie civilization in your campus. And believe me it is reassuring.

Submitted my first WAC (Written analysis and communications) assignment today that too on time. We had two quizzes this week, didn't fare well in them. Now am looking forward to another roof-top visit. Not for jumping though!
